How to Donate Hair

We Offer Three Unique Ways to Donate Your Hair

Follow the steps below to choose the option that works best for you:

Self Haircut Donation – Cut and prepare your hair yourself, then send it to us by courier.
Free Haircut Makeover – Enjoy a free haircut makeover at home while donating your hair. (available in select locations)
Collaboration with Hair Donation – Be part of a scripted haircut shoot, get paid for the collaboration, and donate the hair during filming

Step By Step In Detail

1. Self Haircut Donation

Step 1 – Cut Your Hair

Wash and dry your hair completely before cutting. Make sure it’s clean and free of styling products.
Tie your hair into a tight ponytail braid using rubber bands on both sides. Ensure it is straight and secure to avoid loose strands.
Cut the hair just above the top rubber band while keeping it tied together.
The minimum length required is 12 inches (measured from the rubber band).
You can get the haircut done by a professional stylist or someone at home.
Don’t forget to take before-and-after photos and record a haircut video to inspire others.

Step 2 – Pack Properly

Place the cut ponytail or braid into a clean, dry zip-lock bag (hair must remain tied).
Put the zip-lock bag into a padded envelope or small box for protection.
Add a note with your name, phone number, and email address inside the package.
Seal the package tightly to prevent damage during transit.

Step 3 – Ship It

Send the package to the address provided by our organization.
Choose a reliable courier service with tracking if possible.
You may receive an acknowledgment or certificate after your donation is received.
Stay connected via email or WhatsApp for updates.

2. Free Haircut Makeover (Home Service)

Step 1 – Book Your Appointment
Fill out the booking form and select the Free Haircut Makeover option. Enter your location. Our team will check and confirm whether this service is available in your area.

Step 2 – Service Availability Confirmation Once we receive your booking request, we’ll inform you if your location is eligible for a free home haircut service.

Step 3 – Haircut at Your Home
If available, our team member will visit your home, give you the haircut in your chosen style, and capture before-and-after photos, a full haircut video, and short video clips for social media. The cut hair will be collected for donation.

Step 4 – If your area is not covered for the free home haircut service:

You can still donate by selecting the Self Haircut Donation option.
If you wish to participate in Collaboration with Hair Donation and can travel to our shoot location, you can select that option instead.

3. Collaboration With Hair Donation

Step 1 – Script & Concept Planning
Our team member will prepare a unique haircut script designed like a story. Every scene — from your pre-cut look to the transformation — will be planned to make the video cinematic and engaging.

Step 2 – Location Finalisation
Once the script is ready, we will decide the best location for the shoot (indoor or outdoor). On the scheduled day, you will be invited to the chosen location, ready for filming.

Step 3 – Haircut Filming & Photography
On the shoot day, our team member will film your haircut exactly according to the script. Key moments will be captured in detail, and if any shot isn’t perfect, we’ll retake it. Alongside, we’ll do a photoshoot and record short clips for reels.

Step 4 – Payment for Collaboration
After the shoot is completed, you’ll receive the agreed payment for being part of the collaboration.

Step 5 – Video Usage & Sharing
Your haircut video will be edited in a film-story style, sold for distribution, and posted on our social media platforms. This is a creative project to share inspiring stories.

Step 6 – Hair Donation
All the hair cut during the shoot will be carefully collected and sent for hair donation.
